Where a 50 MB JPG comes up
- Testing repository hooks that should catch large binaries.
- Checking Telegram bots that upload documents.
- Measuring upload resume behaviour in photo backup apps.
- Checking that a bot falls back from sendPhoto to sendDocument when a user shares a very large image.
Limits it lands on
- GitHub warns when a pushed file is larger than 50 MiB; this image is exactly 50 MiB.
- Telegram's Bot API allows uploads up to 50 MB for files sent with multipart/form-data.
- Gmail can receive messages up to 50 MB, so even incoming mail with this image would be too large once encoded.

Encoded as base64 the image becomes about 69.9 million bytes, which is why inline-JSON image APIs reject it long before any pixel is decoded.
Questions
Will GitHub block it?
No, GitHub blocks files above 100 MiB. At 50 MiB you get a warning that recommends Git LFS.
Does the image load slowly?
Viewers skip the comments, so it opens quickly; only the transfer is heavy.
Can a Telegram bot send it as a photo?
No. sendPhoto accepts up to 10 MB. Sent with sendDocument it is right at the 50 MB multipart limit, so it is the edge case for document uploads.
