Extract a page range from a PDF, in your browser
Drop files here
or click to choose one or more — PDF
Processed entirely in your browser using a Web Worker. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use
- Select the PDF you want to split.
- Type the pages or ranges to extract, e.g. 1-3,5,8-10.
- Click Split PDF.
- Download the resulting PDF.
Accepted formats
PDF files only.
Features
- Accepts comma-separated pages and ranges in one field (1-3,5,8-10)
- Clearly reports which page number is invalid if a range is out of bounds
- Output is a single PDF containing just the pages you selected, in that order
What happens to your file
Selected pages keep their original content and dimensions; document-level metadata, bookmarks and form fields are not carried over to the result.
Known limitations
- Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported.
- The result is one combined PDF of the selected pages — not a separate file per page.
- Ranges outside the document's actual page count are rejected with an error rather than silently ignored.
Common use cases
- Pulling a signature page out of a long contract
- Extracting a chapter from a scanned book
- Removing a cover sheet before archiving
Questions.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Split PDF runs entirely in your browser using a Web Worker — the file never leaves your device.
What file types does this accept?
Split PDF accepts PDF files.
Can I get each page as a separate file?
Not from this tool — Split PDF returns one PDF containing all the pages you selected. For one image per page instead, see PDF to Images.
What happens if I type an invalid range?
You'll get a clear error naming the exact page number that's out of bounds, instead of a silent failure.
